Hey sv 650 owners,

I am fairly new to the riding scene and as such dropped my bike the other day. The usual problem, went to put my foot down, but failed to notice I was on a steep hill. Anyway, would you reccomend frame sliders for this bike? I managed to damage my handle bars, brake lever, and scrape a few other things, so I am wondering if frame sliders would help in the future.

Thanks for the info. I am afraid the purchace might have to wait for a few weeks do to the unfortunate bill from the repair shop and the fact that I needed a new back tire do to two punctures from a staple gun. all at the same time.

I got a set of Carbon Fiber frame sliders for my SV. I wouldn't recommend the place I got them from though because I had to fight them through paypal to end up getting them...

but check out this site...

Nah foget those and get Nate's motosliders made just for the SV. Everyone at SVriders.Com recommends them and after just changing out the sliders that came on my bike these slider will protect the tank as well as the radiator. They have been crash tested and mother approved. Accept nothing but the best for your SV!! Nate's Motoslider rock hard!!!

Honestly, I have no idea how or when it happened. Although, if I were to guess, it would be a casuality of having to park my bike behind the restaurant I work at. This back area also happens to be where boxes are broken down. :x The two punture holes are from one staple. Who would have thought one damm staple could be so expensive.

Have a question? I'm a cruiser rider. Are frame sliders similar to engine guards or as some ppl call them crash bars? Do they protect the engine if the bike goes down?

Ohhh
Sounds like you rolled onto a broken crate. I was thinking someone intentionally shot your tire with a staple gun!

Have you tried sliming your tire?
