I'm new to the forum. I just picked up a 2000 SV 650 for the track. Just wondering if there is anyone here racing their SV. If so I may have some questions on parts availability and tips. Thanks.

I don't race my SV650S; however, someday I definitely would like to take her to the track.

I'm from the Stillwater area. I'm not a twin. I have another bike, RC 51 that's were I got the MN "TWINS". BTW~I'm not the guy that did 205 mph.

I normally ride in WI or south near Wabasha. There are some great road there. I'd be happy to share roads if you'd like.

You have an RC and you bought an SV for the track?

Well, you do live in just about the only area of Minnesota worth riding in. I might have to come down that way next year.

upgrade your front suspension to gsxr 1k shocks and all. Other than that don't really know enough about the SVs to give much advice for them

RC51 is a lot more expensive to run at the track than a SV.

Only racing we do on the sv is through the twisties. We use it for stunting. You can get some great wheelies with a simple rear sprocket change!
