I guess I thought the tailblazers acted differently. Apparently all they do is flash a few times and then stay on. $59 for a light bulb that flashes? I can pump the brakes while I'm stopped a few times and save the money. Check out the demo.

When I had my '01 gixxer 600, I replaced both the stock light bulbs with LED lights. I don't know what kind it was, but there were several LEDs in a circular pattern in each "bulb". When the electrical system was on, the lights swirled around in a circular pattern and then swirl in a counterclockwise pattern. When you applied the brakes, they flashed very brightly at a consistent rate, but did not return to full on. I think I paid around 80 for both bulbs and it was well worth it. I'm not too sure about the tailblazers though. I just can't see paying $59 for that.

I have a set of tailBlazers on my bike - they definitely get attention. Yes, you can pump your brakes, but believe me, when you NEED that extra bit of attention, you will probably not be thinking about pumping the brakes - you'll be hitting them hard. For me, the tailBlazers have the most value on the Autobahn, when traffic suddenly goes from 80mph down to 30mph - I concentrate on slowing down, and the tailBlazer makes sure that those half-asleep caged humans notice.

Even other bikers ask me - "how do you do that?" My answer ... "Ancient Chinese secret "

That's a good idea, I like it, how much do those kits run?

On a somewhat similar note, I was behind a harley on my way to work this morning, and he had unorthodox turn signals. Instead of two separate signals, there was a center L.E.D. display right above the licence plate about four inches wide, that flashed from one end to the other, like so: [>>>>>>]. But, it took me about two blocks of driving behind him before he remembered to disengage the signal, for me to figure out what it was. I'm not a big fan of them, it's too tough to determine what way the rider plans on turning. I'd stick to the conventional separate signals.

Thanks for the info, Inspiron. I'd still like to see if I can find one of those LED bulbs that I mentioned above, but if not, maybe one day I'll go with the tailblazer if I can force myself to plop down $59 for a single bulb. :madd:

I just posted this in the 4 SALE/TRADE area, but it is a great deal and want people to see this.

Tailblazers on Ebay for $40 shipped. I know this one fits the Boulevards, check the APP Chart. He has some other stuff for sale cheap too.

EBAY Link

No, I have nothing to do with the EBAY seller, just ran across this great deal and wanted to share. I just got my TailBlazer from Cruiser Customizing for $48 shipped...

All the LEOs around here have them. They definately get you noticed, but be sure to check legality first.

"Works with any 2-bulb system" Marauder's have only one brake light, correct?

I really like the tailblazers. They work great and were simple to install.

Someone already said it, but it bears repeating: when you really need these you'll be in a position where you wont be able to pump your brakes. You'll be concentrating on stopping and the tailblazer will take care of alerting the cagers behind you.
