On a somewhat similar note, I was behind a harley on my way to work this morning, and he had unorthodox turn signals. Instead of two separate signals, there was a center L.E.D. display right above the licence plate about four inches wide, that flashed from one end to the other, like so: [>>>>>>]. But, it took me about two blocks of driving behind him before he remembered to disengage the signal, for me to figure out what it was. I'm not a big fan of them, it's too tough to determine what way the rider plans on turning. I'd stick to the conventional separate signals.
