Would like to know your opinion of whether to use the Throttle Rocker, or to go ahead and install the Vista Cruise. I have never used either, so I'd like to hear what you have to say about them before I waste time and $$.

Thanks!

I Agree!

:D A Vista Cruise throttle lock will allow you to drop and wiggle that throttle hand to restore full feeling. I customized a Yamaha Vista cruise so that I would have no excess clamps showing, however, the universal will work just fine if you want a quicker install. See my post on this with photos if you are leaning toward modifying. Don't leave home without it!

I have both setups. I use the throttle rocker for around town/hwy driving of less than 100 miles just because I have a tendancy to grip the right hand grip real tight, dont know why. The throttle rocker is very easy to install and use, cost about $12.00 plus tax. I haven't mounted the Vista Cruise yet, that will be for very long rides, such as going to New Mexico later this year, the benefit there is as stated earlier, you can stabilize with your left hand and get some circulation back into your right and allow the shoulder to rest. I would recommend having both but take your individual situation into consideration. Good luck and happy cruising. Monica

Hello Hello

My lst bike had a throtle lock and it was cool. I had to nlock it to move the throtle to adjust speed. The Vista allows me to move the throtle even with it ingaged. This saves me from multi locking and unlocking as I ride long hauls. I just installed mine, and love it much more than the lock.

A throttle boss (rocker) will not let you grab that cold vanilla malt out of your cupholder and take a sip.. You need a throttle lock.. But dont settle for just any, look at all the throttle lock options out there.. There are some VERY nice brushed aluminum ones out there in the 70 dollar range..
