My chain is fine but I don't know how to tighten it when the time comes around. I'm sure it's an easy job but if anyone can explain how to do this I would feel better when the time does comes around.

Read your Owner's Manual.

People can post 'til they're blue in the face, but there's no substitute for reading the Owner's Manual. It'll tell what the proper range of looseness is, it'll tell you how to position the bike to make that measurement, and it'll tell you how to adjust the chain to the proper measurement.

I know how to do mine, but I have no idea about a GSXR.

:)

Oh nice, I didn't know it was in the manual......guess I'll take a look at that unless anyone wants to post anyways.

Actually, we could post until our fingers are bloody stubs ... IMHO, that would be more accurate in this situation.

LOL. What did you think it was for? More importantly, why haven't you read it yet?

Usually the adjustment is done by loosening the rear axle bolt and then making changes to a set of bolts that position the axle. It's important to keep the wheel straight. RTFM!

LOL. I almost puke when I see them on the street. Sure, he was a great driver, but now it's just a fashion statement. I'd hate to be one of the poor saps stuck with the "3" Impalas or whatever they are. Wait, there will always be a ******* to take it off their hands. What a POS.

I stopped following Nascar when he died. I never wanted a #3 sticker.

Living where I do, I see "3's" all of the time.

My favorite one was, sadly, the most pathetic. Caution: Sad story of the human condition to follow.

I'm driving down Highway 51 (where, coincidentally, a guy has painted "Dale's" face on teh side of his garage . . . I swear to God  ), when I see a really old, really junky, Toyota pick-up truck. One of the old ones (SR5?) that just won't die. Crammed in it, I see an obviously broke family. What tickled me was, on the camper window . . . the guy had a dirty mailbox "3" stuck there. The kind that is on a slant!!!

Pathetic as they were, I had to laugh out loud. I am positive that they are working feverishly on a monument for me down in hell.
