Ok..while i am riding if i dont always pay attention to my shifting i will pull up on lever with 1/2 the force and very seldom the tranny will go in between gears, while still holding the clutch i pull and its alittle harder to move and i just hear a CLANK and everything is fine.

Another problem along same line is when im coming to a stop is im doing like 5mph i put in neutral but sometimes when in neutral i push down but the lever doesnt move and i almost have to stop completely just to get into 1st. This bike is brand new 1300miles. Is this somewhat normal and i need to pay MORE attention to shifting hard everytime or could this be signs of a problem. Thanks for any info

You don't have to shift softly like you're gonna break the lever or something. Shift that thing with some Authoritah!!!! Only when going into neutral should you go easy on it. From second to first at 5 mph should be no problem. I just usually pull the clutch in all the way everyshift anyway, so pull the lever all the way in and your shifts should be fine.

i usually do pull up hard anyway...just sometimes when i take off easy and am in no hurry to go fast i tend to pull soft on lever and thats when it happens.I was just wondering if that bad for it to get stuck in between. It doesnt sound good lol.

As for the second into first gear thing, its not that i dont pull clutch in all the way, its the fact that the lever wont move even if i stomp on it.I have to pull up into second then back to first for it to go.
