Hello,

I am new to this forum, therefore a quick introduction. Age 54, married and two grown-up daughters. During the week selling steel, and in the weekend whenever possible between two wheels. Currently driving a Pan European 1100  . Hey guys, it's really not such a bad machine at all.

This weekend my wife and I went to a motorexhibition in Utrecht, and the old love for a custom bike was there again, and it seems to stay. The Volusia LC appealed to me and (although I didn't have a testride yet) I am quite sure that I would not be disappointed if I bought one. BUT until now we haven't found a custombike that fulfilled our most important condition, being comfortable for both my wife (as passenger) and myself.

Could you please give some advise, based on your experience?? Is the Volusia the answer to our quest??

Greetings,
Erik

Why yes it is !

Never heard of your present bike ( maybe you could post a pic ). The Volusia is a great bike for cruising even two up.

My wife and I enjoy long rides and comfort has never been an issue except for the placement of the rear pegs wich you can relocate for about $4 us and ten minutes of your time.

Actually I have tried the LC 1500 on a couple of occasions and don't feel the desire to trade up since the extra power comes with extra weight the diff isn't all that great .

Let me know if you have any other questions, and check out this site for a lot of info on Volusias.

Hai Unle Bob,

Thank you very much for your reply. Saturday we will have a testride on the Volusia 800 and I hope that we both can become as enthusiastic as you are.

Doesn't your wife have problems with the small buddyset? From the dealer I heard that it might be advisable to have the buddyseat adapted by a specialized shop.

As a reply to your question I give you the below link which shows my current bike.
