My 2002 VS800GL with 9500 miles is stalling. I'm curious about what the spark plug gap should be? Also the bike is stalling at correct idol speed. Any ideas?

Does it have stock pipes and intake on it ?
Are you using the choke until the engine warms up ?
Have you run any carb cleaner through with the gas.....Berrymans B12 Chemtool is good.

That can also be caused by an intake vacuum leak.

Yes it has stock pipes. I have run Barrymens one time. I do run the choak till it warms up. It has new air filters and the carbs have been sync.
The plugs are set at 32. It seems that the idol changes up and down at certain times.

Time to be sure your fuel lines and float bowls are clean and clear.
I suggest draining most of the gas and checking fuel flow at that time.
Could be a plugged up fuel filter too.
Or a failing automatic fuel petcock.

Note: it is IDLE.
