A friend just bought a 650 yesterday and I ask him what tire pressure he is running and he had no idea. I checked and the front is 28.5 # and the rear is at 32#

What is the recommended pressure for these tires.

Thank

I've had to say it a million times about car tires, so I'll say it here just to prevent any mistakes:

Do not ever inflate any tire to the 'max pressure' number molded into the side of the tire. That's a good way to ruin the tire and adversely affect the ride quality.

It is interesting what you say about tire pressure. I own a Kawasaki Concours and a larger number of us believe the tire pressure should be run higher than the max pressure on the tire, especially the front. This helps keep our front tires from cupping. I run Avon ST45/46 tires on my Connie and run 42 psi front and 44 rear, as I ride two up and carry a ton of crap on the bike when I travel. I have not experience any adverse effect from doing this and my and others who do this don't have a front tire cupping problem.

Since the bike belongs to my boss, I will tell him to inflate to the recommended pressure on the tire. Thanks for the info.
