Sorry for the three posts in a row just have a lot to learn being a new motorcyclist

Is it bad to wash your bike once a week? Is there anything that I should avoid using ? Anything I should avoid getting wet? or just go at it like a car?
any chrome polish reccomendations?

I like to wash my vehicles once a week and am sure I probably won't be different with my bike so wanted to make sure I am not going to ruin anything.

wow you don't like newbies do you? Not to step on your toes again but sometimes people like to start their own threads on certain subjects maybe someone new has something alot more knowledgable than what those other previous threads have to say, cause to tell you the truth they weren't that great also if you don't like peoples posts don't reply.....I have been on Mustang forums for a long time and understand what it's like for people to be new I personally like to help them out and If I get tired of someone asking a question on something thats been posted alot I just don't answer, simple as that...

Didn't you see the smilie face?

It's not that I don't like newbies...I thought there was plenty of helpful information in those other threads.

And, just because I posted links to them doesn't mean that other people can't post additional advice in this thread. If I wanted to stop any additional talk about this, I would've locked the thread.

Also, I welcomed you whole-heartedly in the "first bike" thread twice, even though I didn't appreciate your choice of avatar.

Again, welcome to the forum, there's lots of good people around here. I apologize if you think I don't like newbies...but, I think you'll find if you start reading that I'm one of the most laid-back people around here!

Get some of the Suzuki Wash and use it every few weeks. I use Mequires NXT Tech wax on my bike and then after every ride I rub it down with the NXT Tech wax booster wax... My bike always looks clean.

Glad to see another newbie on the site... welcome aboard, Ralph

Just Kidding ReGina! :bows:

Sometimes we just get off on the wrong foot. It's easy to do on a forum where you can't hear the tone of voice or see the facial expression.

So welcome!

get it all wet,it's perfectly ok,your not gonna hurt anything that riding in the rain wouldn't do,i would suggest to never use dishwashing soap though,it hasdegreaser and other bad things in it,will eventually hurt paint job
