I check weather.com at least 4 times a day to plan when i can take the bike to work, go for a ride, or, like today, take it to work so i cna get a new rear tire put on. I have the weather.com quick reference thing on my desktop too.

According to it, there was a 50-60 % chance of rain all afternoon here today with a high temp of 73. what happened after lunch (when i could have gone home to get the bike and got the tire done)?? it got sunny and 79 degrees!!!

it has let me down in the past too.

anyone have a better reference? Is weatherbug better than weather.com?

Doesn't that mean there was a 40-50% chance of it being sunny? ;)

Stop f'ing complaining ... I'm sitting in the office right now, it's 33°F outside, and foggy (about 100 yards visibility). And it isn't going to get noticibly better for another 5 or 6 weeks ...

haha...i knew i would get some responses from the guys up north.

and as for Darxide...yes i know about the weather channel, but i am talking about being at work and getting instant information. And rather than waiting for the weather channel (which, by the way, runs weather.com) while i am at home.

and last and certainly least :) : yes that does mean a good chance of sun too, but the whole city was perfectly sunny and beautiful and warmer than the weather said. pisses me off ESPECIALLY since now it is cold and wet outside today and need to get my bike in to get a new tire before riding all day tomorrow.

arghh...

thanks for the links C50!

Nope! Just proper gear and ride accordingly. Take a cage due to a weather report? Isn't that a sin?

I think I'd try a local TV station's weather site.

But even they're wrong a lot. In Dallas they predict snow in the winter sometimes and everyone runs to the store to stock up on supplies. Then it turns out to be 50 degrees and sunny.

Or sometimes they DON'T predict snow, and we get 3 or 4 inches.

nothing will beat watching your local news forcast. And when they say a 50% chance of rain, take the chance the odds are in your favor that it will rain on the other 50% of tampa and not yours.
