I am told the Intruder line is coming to a close. Is it true that there will be no more Intuders? If so does that meen mine may become a collectors item? I will not give up my Intruder. I have been serching for a bike like mine for too long to give it up, even if Suzuki does not make any more.

Thats what I hear. I doubt they will be collectors items, at least not in our lifetime. Hell, there are millions of them out there.

Would anyone know if this also effecting the Volusia 800 (VL800)? I just spent 2 months researching my first bike and plan on buying it in 2 weeks. I guess Suzuki will keep repair parts for many years to come.

Would personaly doubt they will do away with the Vol, it's a much more recent bike and their best seller. However the Intruders ( 800 and 1400 ) are very long in the tooth and the marauder hasn't really been selling.

Wouldn't worry about parts though, millions of those bikes out there that'll need repairs so parts will be lucrative for a long time.

Still a lot of Yamaha Viragos and parts for them out there even though they were replaced by the V-Stars.

2005 Intruders

Zuki is not discontinuing the Intruder line-up ... instead, they've re-badged their entire Cruiser line for 2005, with minor cosmetic modifications. All Suzuki Cruisers are now known as Boulevard ... i.e. the Savage is now the Boulevard S40, the Intruder 800 is now the Boulevard S50 and the Volusia is now the Boulevard C50, etc. The numeral (40, 50, etc.) reflects the cubic inch displacement of the engine rather than cc's. New colors available (the Savage, 'er S40, looks awesome in pearl white and has drag bars!), the Volusia get fuel injection and the Marauder 800 (now M50) gets shaft drive.

Yup ! that's seems about right.

"S" models replace the skinny Savage and 800 and 1400 Intruders.
"C" models replace the wider Volusia and LC
"M" models replace the marauder

The numbers as mentionned is now the displacement in cu.in.

All bikes will have some mods from previous models, although the biggest change for now will be a new M50 with a new look, shaft drive, blacked out wheels,etc.... ( pic below).

The LC now the C90 will get fuel injection ( not the Volusia as stated)
The Vol now the C50 will get floorboards as standard.

Suzuki promises new cruisers on a regular basis.
