just wonderin what kind of gas milage you guys get out of your bikes?

Hard riding low 30's. Cruising around 40. Range on average about 140 miles before the low fuel light comes on.

People laugh at me when I tell them that one of the reasons I got my bike was for the gas mileage.

"A Gixxer 1000?!?!?! yeah, right."

Then I mention to them that I'm getting over 40 miles to the gallon, and that a friend of mine regularly gets 50mpg on the highway.

Funny thing is that they still laugh... I've yet to find a non-bike rider that believes me when I tell them what kind of mileage we get!

What's the milage on a Gixxer-600?? I ride 50 miles to and from work.

When I got my 1000 in 92 it got about 34 but after some mods and re-jetting the best I did for years was about 20 to 22. It ran like mad during this time but the fuel economy was killing me despite the 5 gallon tank! I am rebuilding and with the 34mmcv carbs I am going to use now I should get back up into the mid 30's hopefully.

on the highway cruisen @ about 75-80 I get high 40's to mid 50's
which isnt badd @ all im my book.... and from what i have herd, it will only get better when I get my pipe next week and power commander, cause a person can actually lean out the A/F mixture to a 10:1 as apposed to the stock 8:1, and get better performance to.....

My 750 katan is geting around 44 mpg.I ride aprox 62 miles round trip to work and back, Now it get a little less when cracking on the throttle.

well i just got my kat-600 filled her up. Went 220 miles before i got nervous and filled it back up...hehe...still had some in the tank but not much. Of course im easy on it too..havent really taken her past 9Krpm
