A tailgater at night...you already have to keep a lookout at night for deer and wildlife on the road and the sides...not to mention keep an eye out for the possible roadkill you're about to run over...and it bugs the #&$&$* out of me when someone is right behind me blinding me with their lights...it seems like they have to get within a carlength of your rear bumper

I get really pis*ed when people think its ok to throw a lite cigarette butt out the window, only to have it flying right towards your head while riding behind him .

SOOV"S on cell phones .

Truckers especially the ones who pull out in front of you to pass another truck on a grade managing to go all of 2-10 mph faster than the one they're passing.

I love the cages that feel the need to drift over the center line toward you.

I hate the morons that nearly cram you off to the shoulder to get around you at any costs. Seems they cannot handle being behind a bike- only to end up going slower than your bike is and I end up having to pass the cage within the next mile or so down the road.
Or the ones that crowd up right behind at stoplights/signs. There can be several cars in front, but the car driver acts like I'm supposed to go to the shoulder so they can be in front of me even sitting still.

Those huge pieces of truck tires (recaps) that you see on the highways, especially on the interstates. There seems to be a lot of that now. Not only can you hit them, but other vehicles can throw them your way. Very dangerous at night!

For someone to be at a stop sign ,look right at you, make eye contact and then pull out in front of you. Makes me wonder where their minds are at that time.

I hate the cager moving along in front of me, who decides to hit his windshield washers that are not properly adjusted...I get it right in the face!

Doesn't matter if I'm riding or driving but I hate people who don't use turn signals.

Untarped trucks, trailers with dried mud and rocks that fly off and you have to dodge while it bounces toward you off the highway or blasts your face with.

The cager that pulls in front of you( with no one behind you for two miles) then turns at the next exit, less than a block away!!!!

drivers on the major arterial who stop in favor of traffic waiting to enter from a nonsignaled cross street or a shopping center driveway.

potholes. Especially at night!

Cagers who aren't paying attention, and slip off the road at 55mph just enough to kick up EVERYTHING on the shoulder and the immediate dirt.

The self-important morons who sit in the left lane of a four lane highway, preventing anyone from passing them.

Those little bumps in the road that screw up my aim as I'm pulling the trigger on some idiot who pissed me off..... (just kidding on that last one <gr>)

nuttin'.

I liken it to the old saying (modified slightly), "a bad day riding is better than a good day at work".

Guess I'm just too old to get too worked up about much of anything and no one, short of someone actually running over me, is going to spoil my fun.

Of course, I'm the guy you see riding 20 MPH with his left blinker on. Man, gotta move to Florida, get some bermuda shorts, black socks and sandals.

JJBKLB, so what you are saying you dont like riding because everything pisses you off? Every thing you stated is true but that is what make our sport so much fun.

Getting hit by the biggest nastiest bugs at night when the air is moist, and the whole flicking a cig butt out the window and getting hit with it, but as far as having a tailgater or traffic wise just wick it a lil and see them it the rear view.

Running out of ride time!
It's like fishing, you know, just one more cast. Except with riding it's just one more road!

Can't be any worse than the bugs you're sampling riding with an open visor.

Just extra protein and mouthwash!

I tend to agree with everything said - especially the bugs and window washer fluid - I have started listening to my mp3 player - I feel it calms me down a bit.

As said - where's the fun in riding if you're getting worked up about drivers who can't drive. <shrug> </shrug>

I think the jury is still out on this one ... I wear earplugs to block out alot of noise (mostly wind), but I don't think listening to music while on my bike is a good idea. I guess it depends what for music, but when I'm listening to rock music in my car, I tend to drive faster than when the local top-40 radio station is on.

I was recently on the road (in my cage) and had the Best of Guns & Roses in the CD player ... when "Paradise City" came on, my foot got heavier. When "Patience" was on, I slowed down. This would be dangerous (or worse, expensive) if I had been on my bike!

If I go on a long road trip, I carry my portable CD player and listen to music. I have no trouble hearing the other stuff because I keep the volume down and can pause the CD when I go through a town. Sometimes it makes the ride more enjoyable, sometimes I just like to listen to the wind and take in the sights. I do have to watch my speed when songs like Metallica's Fuel comes on.
