I recently bought an old rm250 and was told it was an 1989. I just want to verify this because i have to buy some parts that are year specific. Anyone know how to tell what year it is? Decode the VIN?

Not surprising that things have changed in the last 17 years.

Indeed, the site referenced doesn't exist anymore and takes you to "motorcycle.com".
