Hi there ,

My 2006 CB 900 F is awesome and I love it.
I was just wondering when the general rule applies when
considering changing out the ball bearings in the wheels front and
back. I have 50.000 Km on the clock , and am about to get new tires anyways , I thought maybe getting a new pair , or am I underestimating
it all. I noticed a small sound coming from below when going about
1km./h and letting the bike stop it self , I was just wondering if that sound would comes from bad bearings .

Thank you
Minhthu

Most likely that the noise is coming from a dragging brake or a stiff chain.

I wouldn't be changing bearings unless I had proof that they were going bad.
When tires are changed would be a good time for a bearing inspection though.

i agree, i sometimes hear a noise when coasting, it goes away when the breaks are applied. You can get them and have them on hand if yo want. Just check them when the tire is off. they should roll smooth with no hard spots. And you will know when a bearing is bad. they make noise and your bile will feel loose. as if your on dirt. but i would also inspect the chain and sprockets.
