FYI: Aftermarket fairings usually need to be drilled before installing

I have used Maier and Air Tech on all my 86/7 GSX-Rs at one point or another. Maier is more consistent. Air Tech molds are getting old, and their fit quality varies immensely from piece to piece. There is a lot of plastic on ebay. If you buy there, make sure the tabs aren't effed up. We use ours for racing, so no biggie. Also, make sure the nut fasteners (on the mids and lowers) are still there. We bought some that was missing the fasteners. It will have to be Dzus-ed to be useable.

You can order the Air Tech stuff from "Backorder" Phillips, uh, I mean Lockhart Phillips.

If you are desparate, '88/9 750 bodywork can be made to fit with some bracket modifications.

plastic

Nut, thanks for the reply. I found some seemingly good prices on cyclepages.com...
front fairing-$135
mid panels-$45 ea.

I think their stuff is Maier.

I probably will get new plastic and paint at the end of summer. Just bought the bike and fixing all the little mechanical quirks and getting used to the handling and power. I came from my rather-docile-but-still-respectable '82 GS1100GK dresser and '80 GS850L to this little firecracker. (I think this Suzuki thing is turning ugly-three bikes now)

By the way, Nut, I have a pic of you on your '87 leaning into a corner as my desktop. Great photos!

Thanks!

Just take your time when drilling to ensure a good fit. Especially with the upper. I know one of the companies still makes drilled stuff, but I can't for the life of me remember who it is.
