I'm having trouble storing my Kryptonite Disc lock on my 2004 GSXR 600 when riding the bike. I used to keep it in the trunk but I mounted my motion sensor for the Scorpio alarm there and I don't want the lock to bounce around in there and destroy it.

Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

Yeah I put the sensor all the way in the back of the trunk and they both fit but like I said I don't want that heavy lock banging up against the sensor the whole time I'm riding.

I put the sensor there because it is easy to adjust and is also not visible even when the trunk lid is open.

My disc-lock came with a little bag with a strap, fits nicely on the frame, handy on the throttle grip so I don't forget to remove it and go bum up.
You may be able to find a similar item in a camping/army disposal type store

get a padded pouch to put the disc lock in. If not that just drop in in an old tube sock and wrap the rest of the sock around it and stow away.

make or have made a bracket that u can fix inside the trunk, then when ur not using the disk lock, lock it onto that bracket, which will prevent it from moving and therefore wont damage ur sensor

Try taking up space in the trunk with a clean rag. I always have a clean microfiber rag in my trunk.

BTW: this is the lock carry on my bike
That's the exact same lock I use.

My disc lock stays in the garage these days. Only got it for when I was living in an apartment. That and a couple big cables, bike cover and alarm. Damn I don't miss apartment living! Now I just don't leave my bike in any questionable area.

My disc lock came with a case that had velcro that attached it to my sub frame in the tail storage.

Hey Teh K and I are still apartment living....so that brings up the question of how do we keep our bikes safe? And how dangerous would it be to store them in our living room? :?:
Keep the bikes covered in the parking lot. Less temtation.

Get a good bike lock and extra heavy bike cable and secure it to a fixed object, like parking cover support pole etc.

If you have car, barricade the bike with it. Block it in making it hard to remove. Don't, repeat don't cable lock it to the car. First time you forget and drive the car away, you'll hate yourself!

Keep it in the apartment? I did it many years ago, but the manager may not like it. Just make sure it doesn't leak fuel!
