It's your bike and your skin, but personally I wouldn't play around with anything but the size that Suzuki specifies. I consider it a major safety risk to deviate from what they designed it for. You might be fine... until suddenly you're not and it's too late.
Boulevards have pretty big tires already, why do you even want to mess with it?
I actually went darkside and put a car tire on my M50. Actually found the handling to be the same if a little different, and in crappy weather it handled way better. So options abound.
