Well the weather is getting worse and I need to start thinking about how to store the bike. So can I get some recommendations? I have 95 Katana (that I bought in April), and I will be keeping it in my garage over the winter. Specifically my questions are:
1) Should I change the oil now or wait till the Spring (the last time it was changed was when I got it and I have only put about 3,000 miles on it)?
2) How much gas should I leave in the tank (I plan on using gas stabilizer).
3) Should I disconnect the battery, or do anything special with it?
4) How can I protect the tires from getting flat spots?
5) Should I plan to ride it for a couple miles once a month or something over the winter? If yes how oftern and how long? I don't have cold weather gear, and I have no intention of getting any, so the rides would need to be very short.

Although I don't always follow my own advice, it is best to change the oil before storage and right away in the spring.

2) How much gas should I leave in the tank (I plan on using gas stabilizer).

Fill the tank to prevent condensation and rust.

3) Should I disconnect the battery, or do anything special with it?

Disconnect the battery. Better yet, remove it from the bike. Store it in a cool, dry place.

4) How can I protect the tires from getting flat spots?

Put the bike on stands so the wheels are not on the ground.

5) Should I plan to ride it for a couple miles once a month or something over the winter? If yes how oftern and how long? I don't have cold weather gear, and I have no intention of getting any, so the rides would need to be very short

Unless you WANT to ride the bike in the cold, I sugest you leave it be. If you ride it long enough to fully warm it up a few times a month, then you really don't need to winterize it (that's what I did last winter because I have decent cold weather gear and wanted to ride)

Make sure to run the stabilizer into the carbs.
What about fuel-injection bikes? Should I also let the bike run for 10 minutes after topping it off and putting in the stabilizer, or doesn't it matter as much in my case?
