well, just got home a little while ago from our trip down around Lake Okeechobee. total miles was 410...now the M is over 1600 miles in just 4 weeks!!

I left my house about 820 am...met my two friends at one of their houses and we got outta there about 915. stopped for gas twice, burger king once, and to take pics at the lake for about 10 minutes. other than that we were riding the whole time. got home at 6pm. my butt is a little sore, but didnt start feeling it till about 3pm or so.

we had temps up to about 87 this afternoon and that was pretty hot! earlier in the day it was overcast and perfect for riding.

anyway....trying to work my way up to something longer like dale is talking about. not ready for that yet though!

actually they are BOTH doing it and they are doing it on purpose...idiots....

pics would have been good if they were out of them. i wasnt even focusing on them and what they were doing, i was looking at the bike. it was after that they asked if i got them picking their butts....

children!!! (28 and 33)

I wish you or Dale lived closer to me. I am the only person out of my 5 friends that ride who like to go on long hauls. The guy I usually go with usually looks at me like im CRAZY when I ride 50 miles........I'm like, "Dude thats nothing.....!"

yeah i love that all three of us (actually 4, their dad likes to go sometimes too) agree that we want to go spend a day on the bikes. sometimes we do 150 miles sometimes 300+. just whatever we feel like.

the route changes midstream sometimes too, thats always fun. sitting at a stopsign in the middle of nowhere talking about which way to turn and what roads we would be on if we did!

only one thing jay....we dont like no steenking sportbikes in our group! (TOTALLY kidding!!)

Cool.

I was glad to get in 90 today between frozen lakes. Tomorrow should be even better. I hope to ride the north shore of Lake Superior in the coming weeks.

It's been said before "Pick a direction rather than destination". You'll discover a lot more that way if time permits.

PS, My bike don't stink! It might be the rider though after 10 or 15 hours on the road!

Most of my longer rides to date have been with a destination in mind, but not an exact route planned. Twice now I've managed to turn what should have been 90 or 95 miles runs into more like 150-200 mile rides :)

Just happened to remember something... got a poker run coming up soon... have to put something up for that in the rides section...

I've had a couple of 250+ days...nothing close to what some of you guys do. Of course you guys on the Boulevards and Marauders have a lot more comfortable right than I do (not that I'm complaining). I plan on making a ride to Deal's Gap this summer...I have a buddy coming back from Iraq who wants to ride it with me (he's getting stationed in Camp LeJune NC).
