Anyone know what the recommended tire pressure for a Suzuki GZ250 is?

The rear tire is a Metzler if that makes any difference.

'99 GZ250 service manual said:
TIRE PRESSURE
If the tire pressure is too high or too low, steering will be
adversely affected and tire wear increased. Therefore,
maintain the correct tire pressure for good roadability and a
longer tire life. Cold inflation tire pressure is as follows.

COLD INFLATION
TIRE PRESSURE
SOLO RIDING DUAL RIDING
kPa kg/cm2 psi kPa kg/cm2 psi
FRONT 175 1.75 25 175 1.75 25
REAR 200 2.00 29 225 2.25 33

CAUTION
The standard tire fitted on this motorcycle is a
110/90-16 59P for the front and a 130/90-15M/C 66P
for the rear. The use of tires other than those speci-
fied may cause instability. It is highly recommended
to use the specified tires.
I just checked the sticker on my mom's '02 GZ250 and the information is the same.

You might want to check with Metzeler for the tire pressure they would recommend for the GZ. I believe they recommend higher pressures with their tires than used for the OEM tires.

This has been discussed extensively in other threads here.

Not everybody agrees with the Metzler recommendations......"for better tread life and increased customer satisfaction" ......whatever that is.

My main concern is NOT tread life. My bike came with Metzlers from the factory and the Suzuki recommendations are still the same.

This might be a moot point because the Metzler numbers are not different for all styles and sizes; they might be the same for the GZ tires.

YMMV.
