jest got cobras for my c109r they sound good but i always thought the louder the better! this is my first fuel injected bike and i dont know if removing baffles will hurt anything? your thoughts please

I don't see why. I have been told that if you only have modded exhaust it will not need any fuel management.
The baffles in cobra pipes are basically open tubes with deflector edges. There is no packing or anything that effectively reflects exhaust sound. You will eliminate the small amount of back pressure that is there, and will lose torque. My opinion is that a completely unbaffled exhaust doesn't sound that good, and is a nuisance that will eventually cause a crack down on those of us who actually use pipes for performance improvement. Even with quiet cores in my Cobra Speedsters, I have to wear hearing protection for long rides and it sets off car alarms along the street downtown. JMHO, ride your bike and enjoy, and don't worry about impressing everyone with how loud it is.
No disrespect meant to anyone but I've never understood the need to be so loud that you can't hear anything around you or threaten your own hearing.

I do love my c109r it looks good rides good has a ton of power but this is my 4th bike buy far the most expensive and it sounds the worst. I learned big cubic inches does not = big sound my last bike was a vtx 1300 and i think it sounded way better than the vtx 1800. I did remove the baffles on my c109 and it did sound much better when reved up but sounded like crap at idle so i put them back in. I am sure i will get use to the sound after a while still is an awsome bike and i would recomend it to anybody.
...I'm new here and this may not be the place to put this request....I have a 2008 C109R and I am looking for a set of stock OEM stock mufflers for it.....Scratched mine backing out of the garage in the fall....if any of you readers are changing to aftermarket exhausts (and it seems like there are) and want to sell them, please let me know....thanks

don't de-baffle. It will sound like crap and you will be stuck. Any time you change the exhaust on a bike you will change the way it runs to some degree. Most people get in a big hurry or don't have the money to do it right. You should at least put a power commander on with new pipes and Dyno it.But if you really want to get the most out of your bike put a up graded intake (k+n filter) get one that brings in as much air as possible. Don't just buy the one that looks the best to you. I did these four things to my bike and it runs cooler,looks better,sounds awesome and I got 15% more HP and 15% more Torque out of it. The great part is I only lost two mpg.
